Bolt (ボルト, Bolt)^? is a special thunder hawk that is contracted to Takumi Kayano.

In the anime adaptation, he is voiced by Japanese voice actor Tomohiro Ohno (大野智敬, Tomohiro Ohno)^?. In the English dub, he is voiced by John Archer II.

Background

In Ch. 20^WN / Ch. 7^Manga and at the very end of Ep. 2^Anime, after receiving a fenrir as a "contracted beast" and naming it Joule, Takumi Kayano receives from Sylphyryll two other "contracted beasts": a thunder hawk and a heavenly tiger. The hawk, aged three years old and of level 20, is nicknamed by Takumi Bolt (in the anime, this happens at the beginning of Ep. 3^Anime).

Etymology

The name "Bolt" comes from the fact that, as a thunder hawk, he can use Thunder Magic which includes spells involving lightning bolts.

Appearance

Bolt is almost three-quarters as long (from beak to tail feathers) as Alan and Elena are tall. He has golden-yellow plumage. In the anime, he is also shown to have olive-green eyes.
