Derrick Louren is the leader of the Shireen Branch of the Knights of Guadia. He is the second son of the House of Louren, the feudal family that governs Shireen.

Background

Derrick Louren is first introduced in Ch. 35^WN, in a segment not adapted into the manga or the anime. When Takumi Kayano inquires Granvault Lowain and Issac Risner about the investigation into Baron Girbelda and the slave trader (after both were arrested), Risner introduces Derrick to him along with his advisor Phillip Callan.

Derrick's first appearance in the manga happens in Ch. 17^Manga (coinciding with Ch. 36^WN) when he, Vault, and Issac visit the Golden Bakery to sponsor the business so that Rhode can resume making and selling cream bread (the so-called "phantom bread" because it is only made on certain unscheduled days and sells out quickly).
