Guadia (ガディア国 Gadia-kuni)? is one of various sovereign nations in the world of Etelldia. It is located on the southeast corner of Etelldia.
Etymology[]
"Guadia", or "Guardia", is derived from the English word guard, which as a noun can mean either a soldier who protects a person, group of people, building, city, etc. from harm or a defensive object (shield, castle, etc.) that serves the same purpose as such soldier, and as a verb can mean "to defend a person, people, building, city, etc. from attacks, disasters, etc."

Guadia is a monarchical kingdom.
Defense[]
Guadia's top defense unit is comprised by the Knights of Guadia, which have branches on various of the kingdom's cities and towns. The first branch introduced in the story of A Journey Through Another World is the Shireen branch during Ch. 10WN / Ch. 3Manga / Ep. 1Anime, where Granvault Lowain serves as its second captain.
The main goal of the Knights of Guadia is to defend its constituent cities and towns from monsters; sometimes, Knights of Guadia organizes expeditions to certain monster-infested wild areas (like, for example, the adjacent Forest of Gaia) to wittle down the populations of dangerous monsters (especially high-ranking ones) before they outnumber the populations of nearby towns and cities.
