Joule (ジュール)? is a special fenrir that is contracted to Takumi Kayano.
In the anime adaptation, he is voiced by Maki Kawase (河瀬茉希)?, a Japanese voice actress. His English voice actress has not yet been credited.
Background[]
At the beginning of Ch. 18WN (which coincides with the very end of Ch. 6Manga and the last few minutes of Ep. 2Anime), after clearing the Earth Labyrinth, Takumi Kayano and his party find themselves outside when Alan and Elena spot a wolf-like creature staring at them. Immediately after (at the very beginning of Ch. 7Manga, still during the end of Ep. 2), the monster, initially striking some fear upon the party, starts to wag and spin its tail as if it were a playful dog. Takumi casts Appraise on the creature, identifying it as a five-year-old, level-25, S-rank fenrir with a special title attached to it ("Takumi's Contracted Beast"). Since the title strikes him odd, Takumi wonders if Sylphyryll sent him the fenrir to make him company. The kids eventually start to play with the contracted fenrir, whom Takumi names Joule and adopts into his party.
It is later revealed in Ch. 19WN (still Ch. 7Manga / Ep. 2Anime) that Syl had nothing to do with the delivery and contract of Joule to Takumi, but that he knows who was behind it, making Takumi wonder if the Water God was the one responsible for sending him the fenrir. Although the anime does not elaborate further on who sent Joule to Takumi (other than saying it was a gift in appreciation for him taking care of the twin kids), the manga does say it was the head disciple of the Water God who delivered the gift; the light novel goes further and reveals that the head disciple (dubbed as "retainer" in the anime) herself commands the water nagas who directly carried out the delivery.

Appearance[]
Joule has the appearance of a wolf with white fur. In the anime, he is shown to have blue eyes.
Normally, he is almost as tall as Takumi. When he uses the Shrink skill, he gets reduced to the size of a small pup (allowing him to pass off as a pet dog when around normal people), and his eyes become navy-blue dots.
