A red wolf (レッドウルフ)? is a type of monster that can be encountered in the Forest of Gaia.

At the very beginning of the series (the prologue in the web/light novel, chapter 1 in the manga, and episode 1 in the anime), Takumi Kayano encounters a red wolf while exploring a forest (later identified as the Forest of Gaia) in Etelldia. Using Appraise, he finds out that the wolf is a Rank C monster; he proceeds to defeat it with Air Shot. He collects its hide and adds it to his Inventory before moving on.
